Contradictions...

Good things come in small packages,
Yet when we say, "I feel small,"
It's a bad thing.
Why can't we make up our minds?
Why are there always two sides to the same coin?
And why is everything so Black and Blue?

I can believe in right and wrong,
But not in two wrongs making a right.
And I can understand day and night,
But don't make the nights too long.
So please break through the contradictions,
And help me to understand you.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,
And I say, "Why kill two birds with one stone?"
How is the frying pan any better than the fire?
And will there always be tomorrow
When we say, "Live each day as if it were your last?"

I can believe in right and wrong,
But not in two wrongs making a right.
And I can understand day and night,
But don't make the nights too long.
So please break through the contradictions,
And help me to understand you.

Why must we look before we leap
When he who hesitates is lost?
If every cloud has a silver lining
What's so great about the sunny side of the street?
And if ignorance is bliss then
That Wise Old Owl must be, Oh, so sad.
When we make hay while the sun shines
Do we still have to burn the midnight oil?

I can believe in right and wrong,
But not in two wrongs making a right.
And I can understand day and night,
But don't make the nights too long.
So please break through the contradictions,
And help me to understand you...
